Can’t live without e-mail when your away from your computer? Have your Gmail sent directly to your cell phone as a text message. (this should work with any mail service that has forwarding)
Getting Email as a Text Message
Log on to your account, and click the Settings page. Select the Forwarding and POP tab, then the radio button labeled “Forward a copy of Incoming Mail to.” Enter your cell phone’s e-mail address, and click Save Changes.
Your phone’s email address is your 10-digit phone numbers, followed by @ and then your carrier’s domain name. Here’s some samples:
Verizon= vtext.com
T-Mobile=tmomail.net
Sprint=@messaging.sprintpcs.com
